Students wishing to gain employment in healthcare may take this course to learn how to function effectively in a healthcare environment. Along with medical terminology and basic human anatomy and physiology, units of instruction will include customer service activities, managing office activities, legal and medical/business ethics and employability skills. Medical practice simulation software will be used to introduce computerized account management activities. Students will be exposed to real-world situations during the year from representatives from the business community and through field trips.
