Students apply problem-solving skills to practical situations through advanced integrated software applications. Mastery of advanced features and functions of word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentations stressed. Students perform desktop publishing functions. Students learn limited programming skills using Visual Basic and the basics of web page design. Using advanced features of Microsoft Office, students are equipped to synthesize information to design and communicate real-world business scenarios. Students gain the knowledge and skills necessary for passing expert-level industry certifications.Student leadership skills may be enhanced by participation in school-based or virtual enterprises, job shadowing, internships, cooperative education, and/or the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA).
